Refund & Cancellation Policy

Please review our payment, refund, and cancellation policies carefully.

PAYMENT POLICY

1. Payment Methods

Nithra Ride accepts various payment methods including:

  • UPI (Unified Payments Interface)
  • Credit/Debit Cards
  • Net Banking
  • Cash payments (where applicable)

2. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through our payment gateway partners. We do not store your complete card details on our servers.

3. Payment Confirmation

Once your payment is successfully processed, you will receive a confirmation message via SMS and email. The booking will be confirmed only after successful payment.

4. Failed Payments

In case of payment failure, the amount will not be debited from your account. Please check your payment method and try again. If the amount is debited but booking is not confirmed, please contact our support team immediately.

5. Payment Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your payment information. All transactions are processed through secure payment gateways.

REFUND POLICY

1. Refund Request

To request a refund, please send an email to care@nithraride.com with your booking details and reason for refund. Refund requests for amounts debited from the Nithra Ride Wallet will be processed as per our policy.

2. Refund Processing

Valid refund requests will be processed and the amount will be credited back to your original payment source or Nithra Ride Wallet, as applicable.

3. Wallet Refunds

As per RBI regulations, refunds from the "Closed Wallet" cannot be transferred back to your bank account. Refunds will be credited to your Nithra Ride Wallet for future use.

4. Erroneous Payments

If you have erroneously loaded/reloaded funds, the amount will be credited back to the original source of payment within 5-7 business days after verification.

6. Chargebacks

You have the right to initiate a chargeback through your debit/credit card scheme or bank. Chargeback processing is handled by your card provider or bank, not by Nithra Ride. We reserve the right to review accounts for fraudulent activity and may terminate, block, or suspend accounts with immediate effect if fraud is suspected.

CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Cancellation by User

You can cancel your booking at any time through the Nithra Ride App or Website. However, cancellation fees may apply if the driver is already en route to your pickup location.

2. Meter Start and Waiting Time

Nithra Ride drivers will wait no more than 15 minutes from the requested trip start time before starting the trip timer. If you are not ready within 15 minutes, the driver may start the meter and you will be charged accordingly.

3. Cancellation Fees

Cancellation fees apply in the following scenarios:

  • If you cancel after the driver has started the trip: Full trip fare applies
  • If you cancel after the driver has arrived at pickup location: โ‚น50 or 10% of trip fare (whichever is higher)
  • If you cancel before driver arrives: No cancellation fee
  • If driver cancels: Full refund or alternative driver arranged

4. Refund for Cancellations

All refund amounts will be credited to your account as per your chosen payment mechanism. If you don't choose to credit it to your Nithra Ride Wallet Account, refunds will be processed to the original payment source as per the refund timeline mentioned in the Refund Policy.

5. Order Edit/Cancellation/Compensation

In case of order modifications, cancellations, or compensation claims, please contact our customer support team. We will review your request and process refunds or compensations as applicable.

6. Payment Failure Cancellations

If payment fails during booking, the booking will be automatically cancelled. You can retry booking with a different payment method.
